High-speed chase ends in NW OKC neighborhood

A high-speed chase ended in a northwest Oklahoma City neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon.

The Midwest City Police Department says the chase began when an officer pulled the suspect over for a traffic offense. When the officer attempted to approach the vehicle, the suspect fled.

Police say the chase ended in a neighborhood near Northwest 17th Street and North Gatewood Avenue. An officer used a tactical maneuver to cause the suspect's car to spin out.

The suspect is now in custody.
