Although the "Boys from Oklahoma" concert series wrapped up Sunday night in Stillwater, city leaders say they are already feeling the economic impact from the four-day event.

Stillwater Mayor Will Joyce says the concerts brought Stillwater much-needed revenue following the losses from wildfires the city suffered last month.

Joyce says the money will go toward supporting first responders, but the city's business owners say they're grateful for the positive atmosphere brought by the event.

“I think it’s a way to kind of serve as an escape for us who are living here," Stillwater Sweets Bakery Sarah Jones said. "I know a lot of people are coming in."

Meanwhile, other business owners say they are happy to share a part of their home with others.

"We get to share our life, and they share their life with us," Stilly's Nutrition Fix owner Natalie Knowles said.

Although still recovering from the fires, business owners say it is important to show up for their community.
