A former security officer for the Oklahoma City Housing Authority has been arrested and charged with multiple child sex crimes, according to Shawnee police.
A warrant for Jonathan Hill’s arrest was issued in Pottawatomie County last week. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop involving Shawnee police and U.S. Marshals.
Hill is being held in the Pottawatomie County jail on a $500,000 bond.
Police say the case was first opened in 2021, but after the alleged victim moved away and investigators were unable to locate Hill, the case stalled. In 2023, another agency contacted Shawnee police, reviving the investigation.
Court filings reveal the alleged victim disclosed the extent of the abuse in 2023. She told child advocates she had suffered recurring trauma connected to the abuse and that “she had dreams that Jon was killing her.”
According to investigators, the victim said she lived in constant fear after Hill allegedly threatened to kill her and her family “if she told on him.”
In one encounter, the victim said Hill “held a gun to the temple of her head” while she cried in fear. On another occasion, she said he told her “he would kill her, bury her in a 6-foot hole, and place a dead animal on top of her.”
The Oklahoma City Housing Authority confirmed Hill is no longer employed with the agency.
