100% ID Checks issued Tinker Air Force Base due to local threats

Due to increased local threats near Tinker Air Force Base, the Wing Commander has implemented 100% ID checks until the situation is further investigated.

Base officials say delays are expected at all entry points.

Officials say there is no immediate danger to personnel.

In a statement, an official with Tinker Air Force Base said.

“Due to increased local threats near Tinker Air Force Base, the installation commander has implemented 100% ID checks at the gates until further notice. Safety is our top priority for our base personnel and their families, while we protect our Air Force and Navy assets. Base officials are investigating the threats and as of now, there is no immediate danger to personnel. Anyone coming to Tinker AFB should be aware there may be delays at the gates.”
