A tornado touched down Saturday night near Spaulding, leaving behind a trail of destruction that claimed one life, injured another, and destroyed multiple homes.
UPDATE: Authorities confirm 84-year-old Jerry Davis was the man who died during last night's storms.

According to officials, the tornado struck around 10:35 p.m. near the intersection of North 369 Road and East 138 Road. Two homes were destroyed, and several small structures were damaged. Numerous trees were also reported to be down in the area.
First responders from the Spaulding Fire Department, Hughes County Sheriff's Office, Holdenville Police Department, Hughes County EMS, Creek Nation Lighthorse Police, and Atwood Fire Department responded swiftly to the scene.
The National Weather Service in Norman was on-site Sunday morning to evaluate the damage and will release a tornado rating once their assessment is complete.
In addition to wind damage, heavy rainfall caused flash flooding and numerous washouts on county roads throughout Hughes County.
Authorities are urging residents who experienced damage in other parts of the county to report it to local emergency management to help coordinate recovery efforts.
