A bill that would keep Oklahoma businesses open during a pandemic heads to Gov. Kevin Stitt's desk on Tuesday.

Senate Bill 672 states that the Governor of Oklahoma can only order businesses to close if there's scientific proof that staying open can cause a disease to spread.

The Oklahoma House passed SB 672 on Monday, and legislators are confident Governor Stitt will sign it into law.

Governor Stitt also said that although the bill looks good on the surface, he will review it when it reaches his desk.

"The intent of this bill is to protect our rights as citizens and as an Oklahoma citizen," Stitt said.
