A McAlester man pleads guilty in federal court to stealing a training missile and other items from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant.

What Are the Charges In The Case?

The US Attorney for Eastern Oklahoma charged Garland Seay with two counts of theft of government property and entering a military installation for a purpose prohibited by law.

What Did Seay Take?

A plea agreement filed in federal court outlines the case. Prosecutors told the court Seay stole the following items from the ammo plant:

  1. A training missile
  2. Telescope spotlights
  3. Tablets
  4. Tools
  5. A Nikon camera
  6. Computer hard drives
  7. Spools of cable
  8. Other miscellaneous items

When Did This Happen?

The US Attorney’s Office told the court that Seay admitted to stealing over a five-day period in July 2024 and again in September of the same year.

What’s Next?

A judge will sentence Seay at a date to be determined.
