Oklahoma Historical Society celebrates Asian American, Pacific Islander Heritage Month in May

The Oklahoma Historical Society is inviting Oklahomans to explore the contributions of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander community at a scheduled event in May. Learn more about the event below.

The Oklahoma Historical Society will highlight the history, heritage and contributions of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in May.

On Friday, May 25, the Oklahoma Historical Society will celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Collective History Day at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City.

OHS says the event, scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will reflect and celebrate bringing together Oklahomans interested in exploring our state’s shared experiences of the AANHPI communities.

The event will feature book signings, panel discussions, cultural performances and interactive activities for all visitors.

Admission is free to the public, but guests must register online in advance.
