The Festival of the Arts kicks off in Downtown Oklahoma City this week, and one of its tastiest newcomers is already stealing the spotlight.
Kyndall Lewis, from Lucy Snax, joined the news 9 team in-studio Wednesday morning to preview the mouthwatering lineup she’s bringing to the festival.
This year will be Lacy Snax's first time as a food vendor at the long-running event. Participation at the event requires a competitive jury selection process.
“Lucy is a family nickname,” Lewis explained, “and I just love snacks.” That simple love for sweets has blossomed into a business rooted in family recipes and creative twists on classic treats.
From praline crunch to Crookies — a croissant stuffed and topped with chocolate chip cookie dough — Lewis shared samples of her signature goodies with the News 9 crew.
Other favorites included her “OC” crispy treat loaded with Oreo chunks, Hershey’s Cookies and Cream bars, and her spicy Chex mix named after her nephew, JJ.
Lucy Snax will be set up on Couch Drive under a white tent during the Festival of the Arts, which runs Thursday through Sunday. Visitors can expect dozens of food vendors, art displays, live performances, and, of course, plenty of snacks.
You can follow Lucy Snax on social media at @LucySnax to see more sweet creations and find out where they'll pop up next.
