Oklahoma Superintendent Ryan Walters' new chief of staff, Jon "Matt" Mohler, has been paid more than $73,000 since he was hired in February.

When searching Mohler's name in the state's payroll records, it shows that Mohler was paid $31,884.06 on February 12th and another $15,833.33 on February 28th.

Then in March, Mohler was issued two checks, one for $15,833.34 for 128 hours worked and another for $12,500 for zero hours worked. Both of those show a check date of March 28th.

We reached out to Walters' office for comment. They confirmed he does work in the office, but would not comment on the payments.
