Running For Clara: Durant students to run mile in tribute to beloved classmate

Students at an elementary school in Durant will run a mile in May to remember their classmate, 8-year-old Clara Robinson.

Clara and her dad, Will Robinson, were killed after they were swept away in high floodwaters after a crash in Sherman, Texas.

George Washington Elementary School says Clara was training to run the mile, so her fellow students will be the ones to finish it for her on May 13.

The school is asking everyone to wear pink in Clara's honor.
