OKC Marathon participants remember 'why we run' with 168 seconds of silence

Ahead of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, race participants observed 168 seconds of silence to honor the victims of the Oklahoma City bombing.

Ahead of the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon on Sunday, runners gathered at the Survivor Tree to remember why we run.

In honor of the 168 people killed in the Oklahoma City bombing, a moment of silence lasting 168 seconds, just under three minutes, was held on the grounds of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.

In addition to the moment of silence, banners bearing the names of each victim were erected along the race course to honor those who were killed.
