The 2025 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon celebrated its 25th year Sunday with the new quarter marathon, half marathon, full marathon, and wheelchair marathon.
News 9's Robin Marsh was at the finish line interviewing winners.
Steven Scalzo broke through the finish line to win the Wheelchair Marathon at the 2025 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. This is Scalzo's 7th Wheelchair Marathon and his third win.
Steve didn't break the course record -- but he already set it in a previous marathon!
Scalzo said, of the reason for the run to remember, "It's wonderful to remember all that."
Scalzo said he trains 5 days a week and encourages others to participate. He also thanked the Paralyzed Veterans of America for his wheelchair.

The 2025 Run To Remember broke registration records for the marathon. The marathon is one of the primary funding sources for the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum, honoring the 168 people who died in the domestic terror attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.
