A body was successfully recovered from Bluestem Lake around 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to Pawhuska Police. Authorities ask the public to continue avoiding the area out of respect for the victim’s family
Pawhuska Police extended special thanks to the OHP Dive Team for their rapid response and dedication during the recovery operation.
The victim has been identified as Morpheis Xiavier Timmons, 24. Timmons was jumping from rocks into the water around Bluestem Falls. Timmons went under the water and did not resurface for unknown reasons.

Authorities have suspended rescue operations at Bluestem Lake following an incident Saturday evening, according to a statement from the Pawhuska Police Department.
Details about the incident have not yet been released, but law enforcement is asking the public to avoid the area as emergency crews plan to resume efforts at daybreak.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family affected by this incident during this incredibly difficult time,” the department said in a community update posted on social media.
Pawhuska Police thanked multiple agencies for their assistance, including the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Pawhuska Fire Department, Pawhuska EMS, and Osage Nation Police.
Further updates are expected as the investigation and recovery operations continue.
