A late-night house fire near 111th Street and South Sheridan Avenue left a South Tulsa home heavily damaged Monday night. Authorities say that all residents managed to escape without injury, thanks to the help of neighbors and a swift response from firefighters.

Tulsa Fire Department crews were dispatched to the fire around 10:49 p.m. after neighbors noticed flames and called 911. When first responders arrived, they said that heavy flames were spreading through the attic of the home.

While the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation, preliminary findings suggest that fireworks had recently been discharged at or near the residence.
