According to multiple reports, Bill Young is set to become the new head football coach for the Yukon Millers.
If that name sounds familiar, it probably should to football fans in this state.
Pending school board approval, Yukon would be the eighth coaching job Young has held in Oklahoma since 1968.
Young was most recently Oklahoma State's defensive coordinator from 2008-12 and previously served as OU's defensive coordinator (1996-97), Tulsa's defensive coordinator (1980-84), OSU's defensive and offensive line coach (1976-78) and OSU's JV o-line and d-line coach (1968-69).
He is also experienced at the high school level in the state, having been the defensive line coach for Carl Albert in 1970 and the defensive coordinator for Putnam City West from 1971-75.
Young will replace Todd Wilson. This is Young's first head-coaching gig in 45 years of coaching.
