Aaryn Ellenberg scored 19 points and the Oklahoma women's basketball team established a winning streak for the first time in nearly a month with a 63-52 win over TCU Saturday night at Lloyd Noble Center.
The Sooners built on the momentum of Tuesday's win at Iowa State by holding the Horned Frogs to 24.1 percent shooting for the game while shooting 42.9 percent themselves.
It wasn't all great for the Sooners on the defensive end. Oklahoma gave up 18 offensive rebounds, resulting in 12 second-chance points for the Horned Frogs.
Ellenberg was one of eight Sooners who scored against TCU. Morgan Hook was the only other player in double figures, finishing with 11 points. Sharane Campbell added eight points and six rebounds for OU.
Natalie Ventress led the Horned Frogs with 14 while Donielle Breaux had 11 points off the bench. Chelsea Prince had nine points and 10 rebounds, six of those on the offensive glass.
Scoring was hard to come by in the first half, as the score didn't move past 6-3 in favor of Oklahoma until six minutes had passed by. The Sooners led by as many as 12 in the first half and led 29-20 after the first 20 minutes.
Oklahoma steadily built its lead in the second half, jumping out to 19-point leads twice after 3-pointers from Hook and Ellenberg, before capping at a 20-point lead with 5:45 on a jumper from Ellenberg.
TCU closed on a 15-6 run, but it was too little, too late.
The Sooners are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to take on Kansas State.
