Norman, Oklahoma – OU defensive back Jamell Fleming has accepted an invitation to compete in the 2012 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., the school announced Monday.
"Jamell is certainly deserving of this opportunity to spend a week here with the top decision makers in the National Football League," Senior Bowl President and CEO Steve Hale said. "He's proven to be one of the premier defenders in the Big 12 and we expect him to put on a show here in front of the NFL scouts, coaches and GMs."
Fleming's coach will be Leslie Frazier and his staff from the Minnesota Vikings.
Fleming earned first-team All Big 12 honors this season after recoding 60 tackles, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
The 63rd Senior Bowl is set to kick off at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. The game and practices leading up to it will be televised live by the NFL Network.
