STILLWATER, Oklahoma – OSU coach Mike Gundy has been named a finalist for the Marathon Oil Corporation Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year Award, it was announced on Wednesday.
The award will be the 26th annual installment of the ceremony, which helps raise money for the American Heart Association.
He is one of 10 finalists for the award. Other finalists include Wisconsin's Bret Bielema, Baylor's Art Briles, Michigan's Brady Hoke, LSU's Les Miles, Alabama's Nick Saban, Stanford's David Shaw, Kansas State's Bill Snyder, Houston's Kevin Sumlin and Clemson's Dabo Swinney.
Gundy has also been named a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year Award and the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award. He has also been named the American Football Coaches Association regional coach of the year.
The ceremony for the Bear Bryant award will take place Jan. 19 at the Hyatt Regency in Houston.
