About two dozen homes are being evacuated due to a large wildfire in Woodward County, Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Woodward County Emergency Management, a wildfire broke out four miles northwest of Woodward near Highway 270 and East-West County Road 36. It is moving rapidly toward the northeast.
Residents between County Road 194 and County Road 196, and East-West 37 and East-West 34 should immediately evacuate to the south. Officials say about two dozen homes are in the danger area.
Residents can go to the Woodward Pioneer Room located at 9th and Oklahoma in Woodward.
US Highway 183 from four miles west of Woodward to Ft. Supply has been closed to due to the large fire, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Crews are battling another wildfire ten miles north of Mooreland.

On Monday, firefighters battled a wildfire east of Woodward near Highway 412. That fire was two miles wide and eight miles long.
