OKLAHOMA CITY -- People from all over the United States braved the chilly morning to witness Stockyard Cities Annual Cowboy Christmas Parade.
The parade opened with one hundred 1,500 pound longhorns walking past, as the crowds stood back in awe.
"We're the state's largest livestock parade," Executive Director of Stockyard City Main Street
Dustie Butner said. "It's been going on about 10 to 15 years."
There was even a famous person on hand, but he had to wear a disguise.
"I got to get in here to get up to the parade staging area," Mr.Clause said. "I got to kind of sneak in so that all the kids don't swarm me. Here at the parade I've got a cowboy hat on. I'm a cowboy Santa."
Entries in this year's parade ranged from vintage tractors to turn of the century bicycles. Multiple Native American performers danced past as classic muscle cars and Model A's revved their engines. Past Princess from various tribes floated by and children dressed in holiday cheer also walked the parade route.
Santa Clause, who was driven in a horse drawn stage coach, met with children after the parade at the Oklahoma Centennial Rodeo Opry. They were able to talk one on one with him and share their Christmas wishes. Everyone even got a present early from Santa.
