Man killed by flying rock

A seminole man was killed last week when a a large rock flew through his windshield as he was driving down a highway.

Richard Gunter was driving home from work Thursday morning, when the rock stuck his face and chest. His truck veered off the road, crashing into some nearby parked cars.

"Where the rock came from, how it happened to fly through the windshield and kill him, we just don't know," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Betsy Randolph.

Gunter's family said they want more information about where the rock came from.

Gunter's funeral was Wednesday afternoon at the Heartland Family Church in Seminole.
