You could win a ride in the Tulsa Police Department helicopter.

The TPD Foundation is giving one away during a contest this month. The big prize is a ride for two.

Imagine being right up there with the pilot during a car chase or something similar. That probably won’t happen, but winners will get the ride and a chance to check out the chopper and its equipment and how the department uses it to assist officers on the ground.

“The biggest thing we are trying to do is build relationships with the community and the Police Department,” said Danny Mills the foundation’s Development director.

The Foundation was instrumental in raising money for 300 Tasers for Tulsa officers. The chopper ride contest helps raise awareness and fund for the foundation's many projects.
