Big changes are coming to yet another intersection in downtown Tulsa.
This time, the changes involve the former home of News On 6.
News On 6 became Tulsa's first television station in 1949, signing on from a former tractor dealership located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Frankfort. We remodeled and added on to the building over the years, before moving into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility at our present location at Cameron and Boston in January of 2013.

CORE Associates, which now owns the old building, says it will demolish all but 10,000 square feet of it.
The company will redevelop it to make it suitable for commercial/retail tenants. It will also be tearing off the cinder block facade on the Frankfort side to showcase the windows.
It expects the building to be ready for lease around October.
The company said it tried to find a way to use the whole building, including the News On 6 studio, but it was just too difficult. Demolition is set to begin Tuesday.
