Police officers are looking for a 37-year-old man they say shot and killed a woman at an east Tulsa apartment complex Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the man they want is Erik Williams of Tulsa.
Homicide detective SergeantDave Walker says Williams shot and killed 24-year-old Christian Shockley at the Colonial Park Apartments in the 7600 block of East 21st Street at about 2:30 p.m.
He says Williams drove to the complex in a 2003 Tacoma pickup truck. Witnesses told police Williams got out of the pickup and shot Shockley. He then returned to the pickup and drove away. Witnesses got a license tag number and police tracked the pickup to the Autumn Ridge Apartments in the 1700 block of South Memorial at about 4 p.m.
Sgt. Walker said Williams and Shockley had been in a relationship that had recently ended.
Police describe Williams as a light skinned black male, 6' 3", 220 pounds and clean shaven. They believe he is armed and dangerous and may be trying to leave the Tulsa area.
If you know where Williams is, Sergeant Walker wants you to call the Crime Stopper Tipline at 918-596-COPS.
