TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa agencies came together on Tuesday to help the community's homeless. It was all part of Ask an Agency Day.
Groups like the Department of Human Services, Legal Aid, and the Salvation Army all showed up to answer questions. Organizers for the event say it's a way to take the hassle out of helping.
"Our thinking is that it's easier for our clients. They don't have to travel. They don't have to worry about the heat. Some of them have health issues and it's difficult for them to get away," said Sandra Lewis with Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.
Organizers say the event was such a success that they plan on holding an Ask an Agency Day every three months.
