PERRY, Okla. (AP) -- A Kansas woman was killed Monday morning when the car she was driving flipped over a guardrail near Perry, throwing her from the vehicle.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 59-year-old Janet Williams of Newton, Kansas, was taken to Perry Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The patrol says Williams was eastbound on US 64 when she ran off the road, overcorrected and crossed into the westbound lanes. The car then hit a guardrail, flipped over and threw Williams about 25 feet from the wreckage.
