SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- An Oklahoma Highway Patrol captain escaped serious injury Monday when his car was rear-ended twice near the intersection of Interstate 40 and U.S. 177.
Capt. Stewart Meyer was taken to a hospital to be examined but he appeared not to be badly injured, said Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Kera Philippi.
He was checking on a car that had spun out when his car was struck from behind twice, she said.
