More than half of Americans will not visit a dentist this year. Financial burdens, lack of access and several other obstacles keep millions of individuals from proper oral health. One such blockade to dental services is being lifted, however, as the Oklahoma Dental Association gave dentists the go-ahead to resume full-service dentistry and orthodontics beginning May 1st. Locally owned dental group Dental Depot’s doors are set to open to serve the needs of all their patients, including dental cleanings, orthodontics, and cosmetic procedures.
While Dental Depot’s offices are open for business, patients can still expect to see staff following strict guidelines to maintain the health and safety of their patients and themselves. All patients will fill out a prescreening questionnaire as well as a temperature check upon arrival. For an extra layer of security, patients have the option to call in when they arrive for their appointment and to wait in their vehicle until it’s time to go back. All staff members will remain in full PPE and in compliance with CDC and ADA guidelines.
Dental Depot founder, Dr. Glenn Ashmore, has always been committed to providing much needed dental services to our community. That commitment includes hosting many events over the years aimed at improving the oral health of individuals who otherwise may be forced to forego dental care. Even during a global pandemic, the staff at Dental Depot continued to provide care to individuals with dental emergencies. Not only was the goal to provide relief and improved oral health to those patients, but also to keep them out of crowded hospital emergency rooms to help relieve the burden on healthcare workers.
Dental Depot has steadily expanded to ensure that all Oklahomans have access to affordable, professional and friendly dental service. Their newest location in Tulsa Hills brings them to five locations in the Tulsa metro area, and 23 total.
Despite the growth over the years, the Dental Depot’s culture and focus remains the same.
“We remain dedicated to preserving our ties to the communities we live and work in, and to treating your family as a part of our own,” Ashmore said.
Patients of all ages are welcome, and Dental Depot accepts most major insurances, including SoonerCare.
