The polls are open in Tulsa County for voters to decide whether or not to approve a $414 million bond for Tulsa Public Schools.
TPS urges parents to go and vote on Tuesday. The district says the bond money would be used over a five-year time period and would be spent on things such as repairs to school buildings and buses, digital technology in classrooms and more.

TPS officials say the bonds are what has kept the district afloat and without them, they would not have the proper tools they need.
Some Tulsa teachers and officials say they want people to vote yes because they see firsthand the needed changes, but others are asking voters to vote no.

About 30 people showed up at the Education Service Center on Monday night to demonstrate in opposition to the measure saying the district needs more financially accountability
The funding for the bond comes from the current Tulsa County property tax just as it has for 25 years, if the bond is approved, nothing will change for taxpayers.
