With Halloween just around the corner, the Philbrook Museum is hosting fun activities each day.
Events happening at the museum are providing hands-on opportunities for kids to experience Halloween in a unique way.
Hints of the season are sprinkled throughout the garden from the pumpkins to the leaves changing colors.
Thursday morning's themed story time featured the book "Room on a Broom."
Friday morning, the horticulture team will lead a nature walk, and Mr. Symon from Hot Toast Music is performing. He'll also be singing with his band this weekend for "PhilBOO."
It's part of the museums "Super Fun Saturday" series with things to do inside in the galleries and outside in the gardens. There will be arts and crafts, candy, photo opportunities, and slime-making.
Learning and Audience Engagement Coordinator Evan Johnson said staff will be in costume, so people are encouraged to come dressed up.
"It's a very fun environment and it's a different way for families and kids to experience a museum when you have kind of this beautiful, gorgeous gallery spaces and then this awesome 25 acres of garden spaces that we use for programming. It's just a lot of fun, it's a lot of space to spread out, lots of different things to see all day,” Johnson said.
The events are free with admission and there's no charge for kids ages 17 and under.
