A man pleaded guilty Thursday to murdering a local musician outside of a Tulsa bar in 2021.
Chris Bratton is looking at 40 years in prison for shooting and killing Nathan Hull.
Nathan's family and friends silently cheered inside the courtroom when Bratton said he was guilty. They said there's no sentence out there that could make them feel any better about Nathan's murder, but today was a step forward.
"He was a champion to a lot of people. He was my family's champion. This coward took it all away. I want to see him get what he’s got to do,” said Nathan’s father Toby Hull.
Nathan's family was in court a few weeks ago when Bratton was supposed to plead guilty, but it got delayed at the last minute and the family was devastated.

Prosecutors said Nathan was at DD's Double Shots in July of 2021 when Nathan saw Bratton trying to break into cars.
Nathan confronted Bratton and that’s when Bratton shot and killed him. Customers at the bar that night chased after Bratton and police arrested him.
Nathan's family and friends said Nathan was loved by many and was a gifted musician.
"He was a great friend to everyone. He was a charismatic man with a laugh that could fill a room. He was the glue for a lot of people. He brought all of us together. Many of us wouldn't know each other if it wasn't for Nathan,” said Nathan’s friend, Jessica Morrison.
Bratton also pled guilty to assaulting two inmates since he's been in jail for the murder. Bratton is set to be sentenced in June.
