A man was shot in Tulsa on Wednesday after allegedly violating a protective order and entering a home by kicking in a door.
According to the Tulsa Police Department's Facebook post, officers responded to a call about a shooting at a home near 3rd and 193rd E. Ave at around 12:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man with at least one gunshot wound who was responsive to police. He was taken to the hospital, and his current condition is unknown.
After an investigation, police discovered that the man had targeted the home because his "estranged wife" was inside with another man. He kicked down the door and confronted the couple, leading to an altercation and ultimately resulting in the man violating the protective order by being shot, police say.
The suspected shooter, who is considered a person of interest, had left the scene before officers arrived. Tulsa Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
