The City of Tulsa says it is now waiving the permit fee for those needing to repair a damaged Weatherhead.
Strong winds from the devastating storm over the weekend caused a lot of damage, and that may have included damage to weather heads, which is an above-ground power connection.
Before residents can get their power back on, they're going to need to get the Weatherhead repaired. PSO or other service providers will not be able to restore power to anyone who has a damaged weatherhead.
The City of Tulsa originally dropped the Weatherhead permit fee from $200 to $93 dollars, but now, the City has waived that fee completely, meaning there is currently no charge for the permit.
The city says it will expedite reviews for the permits and then issue them on the same day. Inspections for the repair will also be done on the same day. Residents can schedule an inspection by calling 918-596-9656.
The city says repair permits are not completed online, they need to be brought into city hall or they can be emailed to bmathis@cityoftulsa.org.
The city says it is important to make sure any contractors that are hired are licensed, insured and bonded, and licensed through the state of Oklahoma.
