MUFFALETTA

Description

MUFFALETTA is a sandwich made with white round Italian bread and filled usually with cold cuts like sliced ham, mortadella, sweet coppa, and salami. Add provolone cheese, and zesty olive oil salad spread on the bun


Ingredients

  • 1 Italian Large Bun
  • 2 oz Sliced Mortadella
  • 2 oz Sliced Sweet Coppa
  • 2 oz Sliced Salami
  • 2 oz Sliced Provolone Cheese
  • 6 oz Fresh Fruit or Fries
  • 4 oz Zesty Olive Relish
  • 2 cup Green Olives
  • 1 cup Kalamata olives
  • 1 cup Black Olives
  • ½ cup Yellow Onion
  • 2 tbs Fresh Garlic
  • 2 tbs Capers
  • 1/2 Cup Parsley
  • ½ Cup Oregano
  • 3 Stalks of Celery
  • ¼ Cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Toast bun on flat top or large pan with butter.
  2. Step 2: Combine the green olives, kalamata olives, black olives, yellow onion, garlic, capers, parsley, oregano, celery, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and black pepper to make the zesty olive relish.
  3. Step 3: Replace the bun from the pan and spread 4 oz of the olive relish heavily on both the top and bottom buns.
  4. Step 4: Layer the meats on top of each other evenly. • Provolone • Ham • Coppa • Mortadella • Salami
  5. Step 5: Cut in half and serve with fresh fruit or fries.
