Two people and a dog were found dead in rural Garvin County, according to authorities.
The Garvin County Sheriff’s Office made the discovery Friday morning during a welfare check. The sheriff’s office requested the assistance of the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigations. Agents arrived to help piece together what happened.
According to investigators, deputies found a man and woman dead inside a mobile home located near East County Road 1680 in Wynnewood, just four miles west of Interstate-35. Deputies also discovered a dog deceased outside of the home.
OSBI agents were on scene helping collect evidence inside the home and on the property surrounding the home. They were also collecting evidence inside a red pickup truck parked out front. Investigators are not releasing how the two died or what led up to their deaths.
"In a rural area like this, finding two people deceased is extremely sad,” said Hunter McKee, OSBI Public Information Manager. “This is something that is rare as well so it’s extremely sad but we’re going to do everything we can to find out what happened, find justice in this case."
According to OSBI, there is no suspect information currently.
