The Tulsa Zoo has unveiled its newly upgraded chinchilla exhibit, designed to mimic the mountainous terrain of their native Andes Mountains.

The exhibit now features a large, interactive space with rough, textured surfaces that allow the chinchillas to climb and explore.

The zoo is home to six chinchillas, including Pikachu, who, along with the others, takes turns in the new exhibit.

Unlike the previous setup, which was small and flat, this new environment provides the chinchillas with more room to engage in natural behaviors like climbing and jumping.

The exhibit is now open to visitors who want to see the chinchillas up close in their new habitat.
