Focus on Immigration and National Security

President Donald Trump marked his return to the White House by signing over 200 executive actions, memorandums, and proclamations, advancing his "America First" policies. Among his first actions was reinstating the "Remain in Mexico" policy, declaring a national emergency at the southern border, and ordering the immediate halt of illegal entry into the United States. Trump pledged to deport "millions of criminal aliens" and designated drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

The president also signed an order instructing officials to resume construction of the U.S.-Mexico border wall.

End to DEI Programs

Trump issued an executive order targeting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in government. He directed agencies to eliminate mandates and programs promoting DEI, stating his administration would focus on efficiency and equality through the newly established Department of Government Efficiency.

“This week, I will also end the government policy of trying to socially engineer race and gender into every aspect of public and private life,” Trump said.

Addressing Inflation and Economic Policy

On the economic front, Trump signed a memorandum addressing inflation, calling for immediate action to reduce rising costs. He also announced plans to refill the nation’s strategic oil reserves to boost American energy independence.

“We will bring prices down, fill our strategic reserves up again—right to the top,” Trump said.

Support from Oklahoma Leadership

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt expressed support for Trump’s policies on social media, writing,

“With Donald J. Trump as POTUS, we’re going to secure the border, unleash American energy dominance, and get our economy rolling again.”
