Factory Obscura is bringing a unique lineup of national and international artists to Oklahoma City for its Spring Break Stopover, offering an immersive and intimate music experience ahead of South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
"We're really excited to bring some national and international bands to Factory Obscura as they're touring on their way to Austin, Texas for South by Southwest," said Lindsay Cox, Factory Obscura’s events producer.
The lineup includes:
March 13 – Alternative rock bands Skating Polly and Gully Boys
March 14 – Montreal-based synth-pop artist Annie Claude Deschenes and local indie-pop artist Heart Space
March 16 – Japanese band Oh! Summer Vacation and local rock group Electric Sunrise
The all-ages shows will take place inside Factory Obscura’s immersive art space, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere for concertgoers.
Tickets are available at factoryobscura.com, with perks for attendees. "If you buy a ticket to any show, you get 20% off a room at Klassen Inn in Oklahoma City," Cox said. "If you buy tickets to all three shows, you get entered to win a duo mixtape membership, which gets you unlimited access to Factory Obscura's immersive art experience called Mixtape."
Additionally, an online giveaway offers a chance to win signed merchandise from all performing artists, tickets to each show, a two-night stay at Classen Inn, and gift cards to local businesses including Iguana Mexican Grill and the Floating Bookshop.
Looking beyond the Spring Break Stopover, Factory Obscura will also host the Future of Sound Fest on March 29, a free, all-ages event celebrating six local bands who have written original music inspired by the rooms inside the Mixtape experience.
