A Japanese-themed floral exhibit, "The Way of Flowers: Orchid Ikebana," will soon debut at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City.
The display highlights Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement.
"Ikebana is a type of floral display that brings life to flowers," a Myriad Botanical Gardens representative said. "It's very beautiful and simplistic."
The exhibit will also feature a zen room, bamboo grove, torii gate, and tatami room for cultural immersion.
The gardens collaborated with a Japanese professor from the University of Oklahoma to ensure authenticity and cultural respect.
The exhibit opens Saturday, May 8, and runs through Sunday, April 6. Standard Crystal Bridge admission grants access to the display.
