The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) report numerous closures on major highways and interstates due to crashes, high winds, and poor visibility.

Major Highways Impacted:

  1. I-35
  2. I-40
  3. Multiple Turnpikes (central and western Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City metro area)

Update as of 4:05 PM

Emergency crews are working to clear roadways, but reduced travel conditions are expected to persist into the evening.

Travel Advisory

ODOT is strongly discouraging unnecessary travel due to visibility. If travel is unavoidable, drivers should proceed with extreme caution.

Check Road Conditions

For those who must travel, officials urge the use of real-time traffic tools:

  1. Drive Oklahoma App
  2. OK Traffic Map
