Future Plans and ESPN Partnership
In its first year, AUSL will operate as a touring league before transitioning to a city-based format in 2026. ESPN has signed on as a founding broadcast partner and will exclusively air 33 games in 2025, including 30 on linear television. Additional broadcast partners will be announced in the future.
Jennings and Flippen to Participate in Preseason Tour
Tiare Jennings and Talons infielder Hannah Flippen will visit Oklahoma City later this month as part of the AUSL’s THIS IS LEGENDARY PRESEASON TOUR, presented by the U.S. Air Force. The duo will participate in local professional and college sporting events and community activities from April 18-19 to build support for the league.
Statements from AUSL and OU Leadership
Kim Ng expressed excitement about Oklahoma hosting AUSL games, stating, “The University of Oklahoma has been at the epicenter of college softball for many years, so it’s fitting that the inaugural season of the AUSL will feature games at Love’s Field. We are looking forward to a great homecoming for Tiare and Sydney, and for all our players to experience the incredible support and enthusiasm for softball that the fans in Oklahoma will bring to these games.”
OU head coach Patty Gasso echoed this sentiment, adding, “We’re honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the inaugural AUSL season by having Love’s Field selected as one of the host sites this summer. It will be special for Sooner alumnae to compete in front of our fans once again, and we look forward to growing the game of softball by bringing the AUSL to one of the best facilities and softball fan bases in the country.”
