A high-speed chase early Saturday morning in Kingfisher County ended with the arrest of a suspect after a dramatic pursuit that reached speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.
At approximately 2:50 a.m. on April 5, 2025, police say a Kingfisher County deputy observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of State Highway 33, east of Kingfisher. Police say that after activating the emergency lights to warn oncoming traffic, the vehicle sped off. Police say the deputy attempted to stop the car, activating his sirens and notifying dispatch that he was in pursuit.
Police say that the deputy was soon joined by another Kingfisher County Deputy, and the two officers followed the vehicle as it continued eastbound on SH33. Police say the vehicle eventually stopped at the intersection of SH74/SH33, where the officers approached it. However, police say as a deputy attempted to open the driver’s side door, the vehicle took off again, knocking him to the ground.
Police say the pursuit continued as the vehicle sped through the area, at times driving in the wrong lanes of traffic, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour. Police say the Kingfisher County Sergeant joined the chase, and with the assistance of several other law enforcement agencies, including the Logan County Sheriff's Office, Guthrie Police Department, Perkins Police Department, and Payne County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was eventually stopped 3 miles south of Stillwater.
Police say one deputy suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.
Police have identified the driver as Eisha Richards, who was arrested and booked into the Kingfisher County Jail. Police say she faces charges of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Felony Eluding, with additional charges possible as the investigation continues.
