TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police spent Monday morning reminding drivers about the dangers of railroad crossings.

Police officers were out at a Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad crossing near 33rd West Avenue and Southwest Boulevard Monday handing out pamphlets on crossing safety.

Tulsa Police officer and Tulsa Traffic Safety Coordinator Craig Murray say trains always have the right of way.

When those crossing arms go down or the crossing lights start flashing, motorists and pedestrians need to know that means stop.
