Despite classes going online, there's been no announcement on changes to the athletic calendar but the district says to enter the stadium in the fall, both students and fans will need to wear a mask. The district said their student-athletes and band members have already been wearing masks since early June. These students also go through temperature checks and screenings and the facilities are sanitized frequently.

In addition to the mask requirement, Owasso's current plan is to only allow 30% capacity for all of their athletic events this fall. They came to this number after measuring their stadiums and gyms for physical distancing. Owasso athletics director Zach Duffield admits these are some trying times, and plans remain fluid each day but this policy is apart of a new normal.

"I understand a lot of these things are different and a lot of these things are difficult but at the end of the day if we get shut down for any particular reason if we look back and say man wish we would have done this and that might have given us a chance it's worth doing everything on the front end," said Duffield.

Duffield also said they're still working on plans for how their athletes will travel safely to different sites this fall.
