Suspect In OHP Custody After Chase Ends With Crash Near Construction Site

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has taken a driver into custody after they led troopers on a chase overnight.

Troopers say it started as a traffic stop near I-40 and Meridian when the driver took off leading police to Southwest 33rd and Independence before running into construction equipment. Troopers say the driver crashed while trying to turn around.

He was checked out by EMSA and taken into custody.
