Two men have been arrested in connection to a burglary that happened Sunday morning in Tulsa, according to police.
Tulsa Police said they responded to the scene at around 7:50 a.m. at an AT&T store near 71st and Mingo after the alarm went off.
Officers said when they arrived they noticed the power had been cut in the store, and one of the windows was broken.
Officers cleared the scene and realized the store was ransacked.
Police said when store personnel arrived, they discovered numerous items missing and all of the drawers were forced open.
Over $1,000 worth of damage was done during the burglary, according to police.
Officers said they found a used iPhone with a red case when searching the store.
The worker at the store told officers that the phone wasn’t theirs, and officers took the phone as evidence.
After police left the scene, a man, Dillon Slack, attempted to get inside of the store, police said.
Slack told the worker that he left his phone inside, but the worker said the phone was no longer at the store.
The worker noted that Slack left the scene in a Jeep Cherokee, but officers weren’t able to locate the vehicle in the area near the store.
An officer located the vehicle in a parking lot near South Garnett Road and South 61 Street.
Slack approached and told the officer his name was Matt Damon, police said.
Slack was arrested, and the officer located Slack’s father, David McCollough, who was walking away from the vehicle and arrested him.
Slack admitted to the robbery during an interview with burglary detectives and stated his father was the one driving the vehicle during the incident.
Both suspects were arrested on complaints of burglary and false impersonation.
