Man Killed, Woman Injured After Shooting In Tulsa

One person was killed and another was injured in an overnight shooting in Tulsa, according to the Tulsa Police Department.

A man was found dead and a woman was injured after a shooting in Tulsa overnight.

Tulsa Police said officers were called to a homeless encampment at 12:07 a.m. between the railroad tracks on Madison and Peoria.

Officers said a woman was injured and a man was dead from a gunshot wound.

A witness told officers that another homeless man went into the camp and started shooting. That shooter ran from the scene and police are searching for him.

The woman was taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown.

Police said homicide detectives are investigating and that there is no suspect in custody.

The victims names have not been released.

Investigators are also looking into another homicide from Saturday morning.

Police say they were called for a wellness check at an apartment near the 1400 block of South Quincy and found a woman stabbed to death inside.

Police said the suspect, Dilan Newberry, was taken into custody by Cushing Police.
