Description

It's time to add a new recipe to your weeknight meal rotation. Our friends at New York Times Cooking are sharing a popular Thai street food dish. This salty, sweet, and spicy Thai basil chicken stir-fry can be assembled in under 15 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsb granulated sugar
  • 1 bird's-eye chili
  • 8 oz green beans
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp Thai seasoning sauce
  • 1 cup basil
  • Gorund white pepper
  • 4 eggs

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Mince the garlic and slice the bird's eye chili.
  2. Step 2: Add chicken into an oiled wok on high heat. Add garlic, chili, and sugar.
  3. Step 3: Add the green beans, oyster sauce, fish sauce and Thai seasoning and stir until the chicken is fully cooked.
  4. Step 4: Remove from heat and add basil and white pepper.
  5. Step 5: Serve with rice, and add a fried egg on top, if desired.
