It's time to add a new recipe to your weeknight meal rotation. Our friends at New York Times Cooking are sharing a popular Thai street food dish. This salty, sweet, and spicy Thai basil chicken stir-fry can be assembled in under 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tsb granulated sugar
- 1 bird's-eye chili
- 8 oz green beans
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Thai seasoning sauce
- 1 cup basil
- Gorund white pepper
- 4 eggs
Instructions
- Step 1: Mince the garlic and slice the bird's eye chili.
- Step 2: Add chicken into an oiled wok on high heat. Add garlic, chili, and sugar.
- Step 3: Add the green beans, oyster sauce, fish sauce and Thai seasoning and stir until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Step 4: Remove from heat and add basil and white pepper.
- Step 5: Serve with rice, and add a fried egg on top, if desired.
