Welcome to the Cooking Corner! We are pleased to welcome back Anna Hicks from Hillcrest, who will show us how to make an easy, fresh salsa for this summer.
Ingredients
- Roma Tomatoes
- 1/3 cup Cilantro
- 1/2 White or Yellow Onion
- 1 Jalapeno - remove seeds for milder taste
- 2 Garlic Cloves can substitute with 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Lime Juice
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Pinch of Sugar
- Pinch of Pepper
Instructions
- Step 1: Roughly chop tomatoes and place half into the blender.
- Step 2: Add lime juice to blender.
- Step 3: Roughly chop the onion and jalapeno and add to the blender along with garlic cloves.
- Step 4: Add the remaining chopped tomatoes, cilantro, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Step 5: Pulse ingredients until the blender gets going (add a couple of tablespoons of water if needed).
- Step 6: Blend at low speed until the salsa is smooth.
- Step 7: Let it sit for 1-2 hours in the fridge for bolder flavors.
